LITP
videography
7:42 min

In the outdoor area of the mausoleum, LITP unfolds as a transition between architecture, projection, and perception. The projection not only animates the courtyard wall but also the dome behind it, turning the historic building itself into the carrier of the work.

Color-intensive microorganisms, luminous water reflections and manipulated shadows of hands and bodies appear. Image sequences emerge and fade away, overlap or merge into one another. Some moments are shaped by intense colors, others are black and white. Motion and stillness alternate. They follow no linear progression, no fixed rules, but are constantly transforming into new forms. The precise, point-like sounds by Ahmetcan Gökçeer respond directly to these visual impulses, creating together a dense structure that seems to dissolve the boundaries of the architectural space.

In LITP, sound and image do not follow a mechanical rhythm in their interplay. Their anarchic organization breaks viewers’ usual expectations through the experience of apparent disorder and contradiction. The work invents in the process of its movement, its own structure and aesthetic logic that resist adaptation. Precisely because it points in no clear direction, LITP makes clear that art does not have to obey. In its resistance to prescribed order, it can become an impulse that encourages new ways of seeing, hearing, and thinking.
