Outside the mausoleum LITP is not only projected onto the wall of the inner courtyard, but also onto the dome behind it. It shows colourful microorganisms, flowing water movements and shadow plays of hands and bodies. The visual elements don´t follow a linear sequence, but constantly change their intensity and perspective. Some of the image sequences overlap, creating an interplay of fragments, repetitions and transitions. This is accompanied by Achmetcan Gökçeer`s punctual and concise sound. Inspired by the fluidity of water, it reacts and interacts with Angolini’s visual impulses. Sound and image interweave to form a dense, constantly changing structure. The result is a resonant atmosphere that permeates the courtyard both visually and acoustically, blurring the boundaries of the architecture.
The overlapping of image and sound creates a conscious aesthetic reflection on the tension between fragment and continuity, between organic forms and abstract structures. LITP focuses intensively on the hidden connections between physical, elementary and acoustic dimensions and attempts to make them tangible.
BACKGROUND
In her artistic practice Camilla Angolini deals with different forms of memory, archiving and historical perception. She is interested in both personal and collective forms of memory, as well as the possibility of their shifts, fragmentation and manipulation through mass media.
Sound: Ahmetcan Gökçeer
Ahmetcan Gökçeer is a composer, producer, guitarist and improviser from Istanbul, Turkey. His music mainly focuses on generative patterns, reprocessing audio and creative looping as well as, the human-machine relationship.
